Condolences to his family. Troon has just lost a landmark. Gordon has been a part of Troon for so many many years, I'm sure the whole Town will mourn.

Hel Cruse....
.

We'll all miss the sight of Gordon cycling in the mornings in his shorts, with more hair on his face than the top of his head. o One thing he always had was a great smile and laugh.

I heard the tragic news by email from my son yesterday and will miss my chats about whisky and vodka with Gordon. Troons best bar will never be the same, and Gordon always strived to make it even better. You will be sadly missed by all.

John M

Hard Hard working man, it shows with the pub he ran, immaculate.

He definitely set the standard in Troon. Not out much these days but when I am I always went to macs, he will be sadly missed. ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Our thoughts are with his family.

We are so shocked and saddend by the news of Gordon's passing and send our thoughts to all the family, especially Kristina, who was the apple of Gordon's eye - he was
always so proud of her achievements and enjoyed thier Monday night family meetings!!

What can I say about Gordon - he was a hard working man with a very dry sense of humour who kept us all going! So much so he was the first man in Scotland (that we know of) who opened the first NON-smoking beer garden and kept the OOR WULLIE bin out the front for his customers.

Goodbye to a very nice man and a true gentleman we will all miss you!

Kirsty and John

I, like most of Troon was absolutely gutted to hear about the tragic passing of Wee Gordon, even though I,d moved down south it was always the first place Iheaded to whenever Ireturned to visit and gordy always seemed to see more of me than my family I,d come to visit, I have many great memories of gordon and macintyres in
general I met my wife emma in there and many people I have come to call very good and close friends to me, one of them being gordon himself, going back up the road to
Troon will never be the same without him always greeting me with a handshake and warm welcome and then always glad to see the back o me, the memories of some great
Rangers triumphs always seemed to be better in Macintyres than anywhere else because Gordy always created a great atmosphere, his tales were hillarious and Troon will defintatley never be the same without the wee man. My sincere condolances go to Christine and Gordons family, rest in peace Gordon.

With condolences to Gordon’s family. Troon won’t be the same without Gordon.
He ran the best pub in Troon, the best pub anywhere! We will all miss him

It is still so hard to believe that I will not be able to walk into Macintyres anymore and here the wee man say "Ah Baker, where you've been". o A bigger character and a more genuine person it would be difficult to find anywhere. Whether it was cycling round Arran to raise funds for the Welbeck Juniors or the day he got lost climbing Goat Fell and missed the last ferry home, he was a huge personality, a natural entertainer, so full of fun, and a great great friend to everybody who new him.
Lee's words at Gordon's service where so very good and accurate at summing up his character and the warmth that so many people felt for Gordon and of the contribution
he made to so many of our lives by simply allowing us to know him and spend time in his company. o It was a pleasure and a great privilege to know Gordon Macintyre and spend some time in his company and I was so happy that he got to meet my daughters as I know how proud he was of Kristina.
Thanks for all the good times Gordon, you left us long before last orders!

I used to happily walk into Macs by myself, because I knew Gordy would be there to keep me company with his stories until the others turned up.
I loved the impromptu quizzes we used to play - guess the year on MTV, or trying to finish the newspaper crossword. He gave me champagne on my birthdays, ice cream from the Venice if he was getting one for himself, lifts home when we were drunk, a hug after a rubbish day at work, he was even my dinner date at Dave's wedding & kept me laughing throughout with that wicked dry sense of humour. I hope you know that all these things were appreciated Gordon. Rest in Peace.

Where do i start? Gordy was an incredible man who taught me so much and who i had the great pleasure of working with for over 14 years. He was such a geniune man who
alot of people could not understand but this never bothered him. He was such a deep and meaningful person who had so much respect for the people around him and who he
always wanted to look after and protect. I always knew that if i had any problems that i could go to Gordy and he would talk it through with me and usually give me a
kick up the ass!!! To be fair, we also had our fall outs which usually resulted in me leaving the bar and the next morning Gordy phoning me up to apologise and a bunch
of flowers being delivered. That's the kind of man he was. He cared so much for his business and he taught me all i know about how to run a great bar and the etiquette
of how it will succeed. I miss his calls at 8am in the morning just to check that im alright and our wee chats that used to last for hours. Gordy i miss you loads and
Macs will never be the same without you. Rest in Peace

Wee Gordon,

A gentleman with an infectious smile with a warm handsahke, a family friend, legend.

What can I say about Gordon. Well... despite the fact that I am not just english, but also a celtic supporter, he always always made me feel welcome. I will never forget when England played France at the Euros, and Istood and took so much cheek and nonsense from all the boys that after game, he presented me with a bottle of champagne to ease my pain and annoyance. I loved Gordon, he was one in a million and I felt privlidged when he came to mine and scotts wedding. Troon will not be the
same without him. Rest in peace sweet man xxxxx

Our thoughts are with Gordon’s family especially Kristina. He was so proud of her. We were so upset and shocked to hear of Gordon’s passing. His kind heart, unassuming
warmth and dry humour will be very missed. Gordon made the folk in his bar a family and he was the head. Somehow Gordon made MacIntyres feel more like home than a bar
and it was a happy home.

So many of the best memories begin at MacIntyres. It’s where we met and on the morning of our wedding he arrived on the doorstep with two magnums of Champagne
labelled Team Bride and Team Groom. Even though we have moved down south now, we always rush to Mac’s when visiting Troon. We are so so sorry to lose you Gordon. Your crazy laughter held a joy of its own and
your hand in friendship was firm and true.
With love

Gordon was a man who touched many people with his own special charm. He had a massive presence and was the best storyteller ever with of course, many of his stories ending with him in bother! His biggest love in life (now and forever) will always be Kristina. She was his sunshine. Our thoughts are with her and all of Gordon’s family at this time. Gordon was hugely giving and would always do his best to help. He was immensely loved and his unique character will be missed always. Troon won’t be the same without him. We will miss you loads Gordy.
With love,
Sarah and Ross

Well has the dust settled since Gordy left us? oooooooooo I doubt it ever will. oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo If we could build a statue at the cross of the mad monk, I'd stick a traffic cone on his head every night.ooooooooooooo I'll raise my first pint to him in his bar for ever. Quietly to myself, and remember the good times. Macs was a massive part of my life for over a decade, since turning
eighteen. Wee Gordy was there for every birthday, Christmas, hogmanay, wedding, funeral, new job, redundancy, laugh and kick in the balls along the way. o I never realised how close we were till we fell out, I was so glad we were able to punch each other in the arm and get over it in the end... I'll not forget the man. o Thanks for everything. o He was the right kind of rascal.

I was shocked to hear that Gordon passed away. I supplied him with barrels and wood for the beer garden.
